Assessment of algae bloom occurrence prediction by spectral reflectance of water body

Absrtact
The reservoir is currently the most important inland water resource in our country. However, domestic water supply depends mostly on the reservoir waters may cause algae bloom which would affect the landscape also impede water treatments, and specific algae bloom venoms could pose health risks. So, the need to improve efficiency on waters and the reaction of water quality are crucial, and even preventing from the occurrence of optimal culture and algae bloom, to maintain good water quality and sustainable management purpose. Remote sensing can effectively solve the locality caused by the observing, with high speed, low cost and easy observation, the utility model can be applied to the water body for rapid and sync monitoring without limitation of time or place, and can be used in different seasons, Continuous monitoring can understand and grasp the changing trend of water quality. In addition to the previous research, this project has completed the collection of related information and documents of 10 articles, and with the spectrometer for spectral characteristics of analysis, finishing the collection of 20 batches of water spectral response data collected domestically, also through the spectral characteristics of water and algae changes including the relevance between (chlorophyll a concentration, algae density and algal species composition, etc.) Completing the correlation between spectral characteristics of water bodies and changes in water algae concentration and models can effectively interpret the trend of chlorophyll a concentration changes or the possible occurrence of algal blooms. As early warning information, and to complete the assessment of the feasibility of estimating the occurrence of algal blooms, in order to facilitate early formulation of strategies. Future-wise, the collaboration with Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and equipped with spectrometry or satellite imagery, the observation frequency can be greatly improved to achieve advanced warning, near-instantaneous, wide range and continuous monitoring capabilities.
